EU Youth Opera presented a thrilling production of Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci on 23 and 24 June 2025 at Kirchengasse 41, 1070 Vienna. The cast and creative team delivered a dynamic and compelling performance that captivated audiences.
The cast featured Roman Poboinyi (Canio), Leo Hyunho Kim (Tonio), Anna Lytvytska (Nedda), Dionysios Avgerinos (Silvio), and Ilia Skvirskii (Beppe), performing alongside a talented choir and musical ensemble. The production was directed by Heather Tan, with musical direction by Johann Sebastian Guzman and piano accompaniment by Makoto Suzuki. Stage design, props, and graphics were by Katja Banovic, costumes by Krištof Kastelec, and makeup by Yulia Kals.
The performance was supported by Stadt Wien Neubau, The Black Sheep Bar, and the Singapore Global Network, and was praised for its energy, emotional intensity, and professional execution, highlighting the exceptional talent of Europe’s emerging opera artists and the collaborative spirit of EU Youth Opera.
