Schön ist die Welt – Sumi Jo Oper and Operetten Gala
This virtuosic gala evening featured the South Korean coloratura soprano Sumi Jo, who has appeared on the world’s major stages since the late 1980s. She was joined by Natalya Boeva and Jihyun Cecilia Lee from the Staatstheater Augsburg, as well as Peruvian tenor Oscar Oré. The programme presented a rich and diverse selection, combining traditional Korean songs with arias from operas, operettas, and musicals, including works by Georges Bizet, Gaetano Donizetti, Franz Lehár, and Leonard Bernstein.
