Frequently Asked Questions

Opera Asia is a non-voting membership association and networking platform dedicated to connecting the opera sector across Asia and elevating the opera art form. It advances its mission through conferences, touring exchanges, co-productions, training collaborations, and other sector-wide programmes. Membership operates on a calendar-year basis (1 January–31 December), with renewals due annually. New members joining mid-year may be pro-rated at Opera Asia’s discretion.

Opera Asia offers both Organizational and Individual membership. Organizational membership is open to opera-producing companies, presenters, festivals, venues, orchestras, choirs, education and training institutions, and industry suppliers that support opera.
